All Done...

Happy Monday!! Well, I finished up my "Special Order". I worked way late into the "Bewitching" hours on Sat. and Sun. to finish up this Libby. I think she turned out so Sweet.

I thought you might all like to see a picture or two of her. I hope the gal that ordered her likes her as much as I do. :o) Yesterday was a Beautiful day for Jordan & Courtney's Birthday Party at the park.

I will share pictures of them here, on their Birthdays. I am going to work on my other dollie.....same body, but she will be a Little Witchy-Poo for All Hallow's Eve. I already have a name picked out for her....

Have a great day and I have lots of things to pack and ship out today. Smiles, ~Tonya

School Shopping...

Don't ya just LOVE "Kid Art"? I do! They make the cutest things. This little sketch didn't scan so well....but it is all cut out and has little separate legs and so forth. My Little Sydney did this. She was so excited the other day when we went school shopping...that when we got home, she had to use her "School Supplies" and make this little guy. Adorable!!

Today was a day of FUN! Jordan had a Blast at Camp! I am now working on My Special Order for this month and another dollie at the same time or it may be one right after another.....something more for All Hallow's Eve, tis my Very Favorite Thyme of Year.

I am feeling so much better....Thank you for all of your "Well Wishes". Sunday will be busy for us, as we are Celebrating my son and daughter's Birthdays. August is a very busy month for us. Jordan turns 12, on the 2nd, Courtney turns 10, on the 4th.....then My Birthday is on the 9th and Our 12th Anniversary in on the 27th. All at once or nothing at all. LOL

I do hope that you all have a Wonderful weekend. Many Blessings, ~Tonya

A Nice Evening...

Hubby and I had a nice evening last night. We went out to eat at Timberlodge Steak House, then some shopping and home for a quiet evening of Scrabble. Yes, Scrabble.....I love Scrabble. It gets the old mind thinking.

The steak was the Best steak, I think I have ever had....grilled Perfectly! Our 2 daughter's are at Grandma & Grandpa's house and our son is at my sister's house until Friday. He is going to "Day Camp" everyday. It is a "hands on" camp, where they build small motors and so forth. They are also going to an Ethanol plant (to learn about Ethanol). I will have my girls back tomorrow or Thursday. So, this has been a very nice break. Friday their is a "Parent's" luncheon to see what they learned....I will then get to go to my Favorite Craft stores. *smirk*

Today is My Mom and Step-Dad's Anniversary.....and yes, they have Courtney and Sydney. She said that was ok...I feel guilty, but what do ya do, it just worked out that way. My Mom and her hubby have been married for 20 years. Quite a Milestone. Happy 20th Anniversary Mom and Ron, here's to 20 more Year's Together!

Well, I have a dollie done for the Mercantile and will be sending out a *Sneak Peek* to those of you on my email list in a day or two. I am still working on something else and hope to have it done by the deadline as well. The pictures have to be in to our "Webmaster" 5 days before the 1sth...so tick tock.

Well, I am off for a day of work, some fun and Peace & Quiet (which does not happen to often). I hope you all have a Fabulous day. Peaceful Blessings to all of you, ~Tonya

Merry Hallow's Eve Greetings to all of you Fine Folks! I have been diligently working on my patterns to my Olde-Thyme Primitive Stocking Collection. I have had so many requests, I finally sat down and got them done! I have the Mailed/Paper version done and I have sent out the information to have the patterns turned into an epattern. I hope to have the epatterns back in a couple of days.

I have a offer for all of you supportive, faithful readers and customers of mine....if you would like to purchase all three of the stocking patterns, I will cover shipping on them (shipping with in the U.S.) and save you some green. All three for $30.00. Otherwise they are currently listed on ebay and sold separately. If you want to save on the shipping and have all 3 of the Stocking Collection as a pattern bundle, just email me and I will send you an invoice through paypal. My email is dandtturvold@deskmedia.com I will accept money orders as well, for those of you that do not use paypal.

I also did get my Jack & Scat pattern done too. The epattern and the paper/mailed version are listed on ebay. I have yet to add any of my new patterns to my website and patternmart. I am still on dial up and everything and I mean everything takes twice as long....Oh Happy Day!

I finally bit the bullet...

Well, I finally bit the bullet and I went to the doctor yesterday, after suffering for over a week! I waited until Monday, hoping I could get into the clinic to save some money....well they would not have been able to see me until late Tuesday or Wednesday....so I had to go to urgent care, nice. Well, I am on three meds. (asthma flare up, due to seasonal allergies). If I had to put a "label" on it, it feels like when I had walking pneumonia and they prescribed the same medication, that I had at the time.

So, I hope that I will be feeling better in no time. The coughing is what is driving me nuts. My muscles hurt so bad, that when I coughed, I felt like crying. And I have a high tolerance for pain...so it takes a lot, to take me down.

So, I am working on a new dollie and I also hope to work on some new patterns. I know I said that a week or so ago, but time was not on my side, with being sick. When I didn't feel good, I could not concentrate to write up directions. So, I hope to work on them this week.

Last night we received some much needed rain, but with rain sometimes comes lightening and oh what a show we had. Our tower that feeds our Wireless Internet (it is a tower to a seed house in Clark's Grove) got struck by lightening. It split in half and started on fire.....so I am back to the old dial-up. I am Thankful to have at least that, but with dial-up, you need lots of patience and sometimes, patience is NOT my strong suite.

I hope you all have a great day. I hope to get a little better (health wise) with each passing day.
Tonya...signing off and so happy to not constantly be coughing :o)

Back to Reality!!

Yesterday all of my kiddies came home. Jordan and Courtney had a FUN time at camp. Jordan went to "Paintball" camp and came back with a lot of Trophies (bruises), but he had a blast and wants to go again next year. Courtney said she got to go swimming everyday. She also made a tie-dye shirt, she had a lot of fun too.....that was right up her alley, because if she could....she would be a fish! She loves to go swimming. Then my little Miss Sydney came home from Grandma's. I was "kid-less" for 2 full days.....and wouldn't ya know it, I had to be sick. My asthma is giving me a run for my money. I hope to get better soon.

Well, it takes a lot to knock me down, as many of you know....so this sweet little dollie is "Annabelle", Belle for short. Belle has so much detail and hand stitching on her. She has a lot of the Olde-Thyme Charm as well. She reminds me of a "Proper" little party girl. She is a bit different for me, I normally make round heads, so this was a bit of a change for me and I had fun bringing Belle to Life. I think I will be listing her on ebay, in the next day or so??

Don't forget, today is the last day of Brianna's Auction. Please go and check it out. The link for the Auction is on the top, right side of my blog page. It will be updated every half hour for the last three hours of the Auction.

I hope you all have a Fabulous weekend. As for me, it is "Back to Reality". No more vacation and peace for me LOL. Not really, I just get to tend more to my kiddies now. I am glad to have them home, knowing that Jordan and Courtney are safe.

Many Blessings, ~Tonya

Happy Dance...

I am doing the "HAPPY DANCE"!!! I am DONE with my special order....the poor gal. She was so very patient and sweet. I am sending her special order today. I finished it on Sunday. Then of course, I got a "Wild Hair" and I was up way late (into the "Bewitching Hours") and then first thing this morning working on "Matilda" again. I am sure this little sweetie looks all too familiar to some of you? Any guesses??

I love the way she turned out! I sprinkled "Fairy Dust" (ultra fine glitter) on her. She Is a Little "Everyday Witch" and she is ready for the Masquerade Party on "All Hallow's Eve" She comes with her "costume", which she dresses-up, as a CROW. She comes with crow wings, a beak and little crow feet....all of which are removable. I also love her little "stick friend". He has shoe button eyes and so much detail! I think I am going to list her on Ebay, Tuesday evening, and to end on Sunday evening.

I also wanted to remind all of you that Brianna's Auction has started. It started yesterday. The link is at the top, right hand corner. Please go and check it out and see if there is an "Angel" that you just need. My days are quiet for a while, my 2 oldest, are at camp this week, until Friday evening. I bet they are having a blast. Mom needed a bit of a break...so yes, I am enjoying my day as well. So, I am off....perhaps for some more creating, maybe a pattern, some cleaning....whatever my little heart desires. Smiles, ~Tonya

~Angels~ for Brianna...

Artists from several facets of the art community have come together to donate angel themed artwork that will be auctioned off as part of a silent auction starting on Sunday July 8th and ending on Saturday July 14th.

This auction is being held to honor the memory of a lovely girl named Brianna, whose life was cut short from a disease called MDS. Brianna was diagnosed with MDS in October of 2006, and fought the battle of her life for 8 short months.

Unfortunately she lost the battle on June 15th 2007, but her spirit lives on, and she is a reminder to us all to cherish each day that life brings, and to love those closest to us with all of our hearts.

You can read more about Brianna and here Journey on the sidebar at the top of my blog. I do hope that you will support the Auction. I have already seen a few of the pieces that are going on auction and I must say, they are absolutely Wonderful!
Many Blessings to you, ~Tonya

Long May she Wave...

I hope that you all had a Blessed, Safe & Happy 4th of July. We had a Great day!! We had so much FUN. We went to a parade in a near by town, where they "Celebrate" the "Good Olde Fashioned" way. They had Vendors, games and good food. It was hot, but it is July.

The fireworks over our Lake. It was such a "Spectacular" show and the kids and I loved it! That is what the 4th of July is for, family and fun......spending time together. Making Memories to FOREVER hold in your Heart.

Jordan taking advantage of being near a lake. Anytime he can fish, he does. He did get a bite, but no fish. Today was a good day. Hubby had to work, but he did get to go to part of the parade. Peaceful Blessings to all of you, ~Tonya

Look real close...

Well the parade was cancelled. We had tornado warnings out. There was rumbling and sprinkling and then all of a sudden, the sirens went off. They came around saying the parade was cancelled. We only got to see a very small part of the parade. All of us were disappointed. The parade will not be rescheduled either.

Then we were leaving, heading to Wal-Mart....we sighted this vertical dark form and it was moving so fast. I pulled off to the side (as did the vehicle ahead of us) to look at it. I don't know if it was a tornado, but it surely looked like a funnel cloud and it was large, dark and moving very fast. Moments like that are so scary. Then we had really high winds and down pouring of rain. It was awful, it blew the doors of Wal-Mart open. They had to hand pull the doors of the store open to let us in, they had lost power (in and out) several times. There was no shopping for a while and they all made us go to the back of the store away from the glass.

Well after that adventure, we went to Perkins. It was very busy there, seems there was a power outage and folks were without electricity. We didn't lose electricity....Thankfully. Some are still without. So after all of that excitement, I am glad to be home. The rainbow posted above, was taken in Wal-Mart parking lot, after the storm moved out. I hope tomorrow will be a better day....the kids are looking forward to the fire works. Many Blessings, ~Tonya

Otitis Media...

Well, we went to Urgent Care for my middle child (Courtney). Oh what fun, an earache. What more could we ask for. She has to have drops in her ears twice a day for 10 days. She is suppose to go to camp on the 8th of July. I hope that this will not cause any problems for her to not go to camp. She wants to go so badly.

Wow, two posts in one day! Aren't you all so lucky to listen to my rambling LOL! I hope you all have a wonderful day. I hope I get some sleep tonight, I was up until 3:30 fussing with that dollie below this post. Toodles, ~Tonya

Back to WORK!!!

This is suppose to be my "Special Order" dollie.......well part of it. I was almost done and stained the dollie and now look!! She is all "SPLOTCHY". I can not and will not sell her on a special order. I don't know why it has done this. I am doing everything the same as always...

If any of you have any suggestions as to why it has gotten "splotchy" and any cures for the future, do tell. I wanted to send it out to my customer today, I just had to dress her, needle felt her hair, stitch her lips and put the finishing touches to her. How very frustrating. I hate to make her wait, but I can not give her a doll that looks like this.

Then tomorrow is the 4th of July Parade and then Fireworks the next day and maybe doing something else with my family during the day before hubby goes to work. I just feel so terrible I am not done, because my customer has waited long enough.

I just thought I would post this to let you all know what I have been up too. I have a couple of more special orders in line....one the end of July and one the end of August, after those are completed I honestly don't know if I will be doing any more special orders. Sad but true. I hope you all have a great day...as for me, back to work!!

Peaceful Blessings to you all, ~Tonya
