Busy Children...

My little squirrel friend was back again today and he brought a friend for himself! Yup, two pesky little critter's climbing screens today! By the front porch windows, the front door and the dining room windows! They are just begging to come in. That is because it is too darn COLD here! It has only been in the mid 20's. I ache in my bones because I am soooo COLD! I am NOT ready for WINTER!

Any who, my kiddies have been working very hard on some handmades. My daughter Courtney has made this FuNkY SnOw GirL StIcK! They said they are making crafts to sell, to by Christmas presents!

So, what we have here is a Snow girl face, made of painted muslin, stands about 15" tall. The nose was made separately and then stitched in place. Her other facial features were creating using artist pencils. The stick has been painted red and green for Christmas....

Courtney asked if I would sell another one of her handmades on my blog and how can I resist those big puppy dog eye's looking at me? She is asking $11.99 (her price she said) plus shipping...for this Funky Snow Girl Stick. If you are interested, just email me at dandttuvold@deskmedia.com

My Jordan has been busy creating too! His hand-dids are on eBay! Listed them last night and he is "Tickled Pink"! He has a bid on each of his creations...

This is Jordan's other hand-did. I think Jordan and Courtney both did a wonderful job...but the downside to them creating is........MOM needs a LOT of PATIENCE! And not to mention, I found out I don't much like sharing my creating "stuff" LOL Whenever I need something, now I have to go and look for it! That is driving my nuts! I will survive! *smirk*

Well, I must shake a leg....it is late and I must hit the hay! I will hit it quite hard......I have been fighting a cold for a while now. I thought it was getting a bit better, but it is trying to get the better of me. Nighty Night, don't let the bed bugs bite! ~Tonya

Crazy Squirrel!

I can't believe how long it has been since I last posted! I do hope all of you had a Wonderful Thanksgiving! Time sure is passing by...my children remind me on a daily basis, how many days until Christmas...

This Crazy Squirrel has been stopping by for the last couple of days! He sits in my flower boxes, outside my porch window and also scratches on the glass. I have taken the screens out for the winter and he sits and tried to climb the glass....you can tell it getting cold out! I have grapevine hung above my window and he made a little home there....for a while.

I went over to the glass, tapping on it and he just looked at me. He wasn't scared or anything. My cat was trying to paw at it and he was meowing like you would not believe....too cute!

This is my ~Olde World Santa~ I had a request from a customer of mine, but then changed her mind because of the time factor. Well, I had told her it would be a while (it was my fault).....so I got a "Wild Hair", like I often do and started working on it right away.....before she changed her mind....

Well, I had already started it.....so I thought I might as well finish it *smirk* I have it scheduled to start on ebay this evening! Pictures do not do him justice and I love the way he tuned out!

We are having a launch in out TDIPT Group for Ebay and now I can join in the fun! It is a launch that is titled, "It's Beginning to look a lot like Christmas"! Jan, our Wonderful Webmaster, made a template for the Launch...well I have enough problems using the one I use all the time, so I will only be using the logo...

I hope you all have a great day! For those of you on my email update list, you will be receiving an update on my Santa and also a *Sneak Peek* of my dollie for the Mercantile.

I think this is my last Santa for the Season...time is drawing near and with shipping and such, there just simply would not be enough time for you to enjoy them for the season, if I made them later on in December. Merry Olde Blessings to you, ~Tonya

Just a short little message. I wanted to wish all of you a ~Blessed Thanksgiving~. Take time for Family and give Thanks. I am Thankful for so many things in my Life....

Peaceful Blessings to you & yours, ~Tonya

My Latest Wee-Leggins...

The Wee-Leggins are my latest obsession. *smirk* you can't tell can you! I am switching gears anyways. I have some other things to make and I am sure some are sick of the little wood legged dollies. I do love them, I think it is the size and that they are different from a lot of other dollies out there.

This Olde Santa will go on eBay tonight, along with my Snow Fairy. I am going to offer FREE Shipping (with in the U.S. and a discount to Canada) as a Thank you. It is that time of year ya know! I am Thankful for all of you and it is just a little token of my appreciation.

I now have to get ready for my Stocking Swap in my TDIPT Group and also the Mercantile deadline is approaching very fast! I may have to contact the webmaster and ask her if I can be last. I have only been late one other time and that was due to weather. So, I guess I better shake my tail feathers......I also have to list my two dollies for tonight.

I hope all has been well for all of you. The weather has been so foggy here lately. I am not looking forward to winter this year....Brrr tooo cold for my bones. Have a good evening. Toodles, ~Tonya

Wee-Leggins Collection...

I was playing around with my dollies today....because I have nothing else better to do, right? *smirk* I may use this in my Winter listings on ebay, for more additions to my ~Wee-Leggins Collection~ I think it looks nice. I am not a genius with graphics, borders or fonts, but it looks neat...

This is my newest addition to my Collection...A Little Snow Fairy. She looks much more precious in person. I gave her a lot of detail. I hand stitched on beads all the way around the large rick-rack on her dress...they are reddish and they mimic the berries in her dress. I also added iced-berries at her waste line and at the end of the ming-pine garland roping.

Her wings are so neat! I added these glittered vine things and stitched them in place. The pictures were taken today and it was very, very foggy...so it is not the best of pictures. Oh well. Any who, Thanksgiving is fastly approaching and I can not believe Thanksgiving is in just 3 days. We are going to my Mom's for a feast. Many Blessings, ~Tonya

Playing Catch-up...

I had a nice day today with my Mom. We went to Jo-Ann's (one of the BIG ones) and also a couple of other places. My day got cut a bit short, hubby was called into work......I guess people committing crimes never stop! Hubby is a Deputy at the Jail house. At any rate, it was a nice day away...

Here is my son Jordan and my hubby...The BIG Hunter's! Jordan is so PROUD of himself. They were pretty "beat" in this picture. This was after 4 long days of hunting, all day long. And that is the 20 Gauge Shotgun that Jordan had to earn. *smirk* We also made some loins from the deer that Jordan shot, he said it was sooooo good! I could not eat any, all I see is "Bambi"! I know, probably a psychological thing....but that is ok. Oh and Jordan doesn't look anything like Daddy does he?? LOL!! Spitting image if you ask me!

And I finally found the Hallowe'en Pictures! They were "hiding" in my computer. I was very upset, thinking I had lost the pictures of my kiddies for Hallowe'en 2007. After it is all said and done, yes.....you have your memories, but in time they do begin to fade...

And there is my Courtney, my Little Vampire! She looked pretty "wicked"! I made that cape for her last year and she won second place in a costume contest. She was dressed differently then. She was going to be Pipi this year, but at the last minute she changed her mind...

Here is Jordan...I don't know what he was....a Military Dude he said! He thought he looked pretty cool...

Here is my Sydney's Class. I was Room Mother for her class on Halloween. This is all of the students in her class, along with her teacher. Sydney is in the back row and almost dead center. She had so much fun!

I hope you all had a nice weekend. It was snowing down BIG snowflakes in Apple Valley today. That is a few hours north of here. I hope it stays here, I am not ready for snow yet. Winter's here get pretty cold and we get quite a bit of snow....so the longer it takes to get here, the better! I have much today, so Happy Trails to you! ~Tonya

Peaceful Blessings...

Here is my Angel that I was talking about yesterday. I do love how she turned out. The Angel is my Original design...but the Dove, I can not take credit for that lovely design, that is a R&K Creations. I love the wings on this dove. I have added "snow" for sparkle...but in the pictures, it is not showing up to well...

The wings are made of corrugated rusty tin, that I cut out myself. The really neat thing about the wings, is that they are removable for shipping and for storage. I had my "thinking cap" on last night. *smirk* The antique rhinestone button on her dress, is sooooo much better in person. I won them on eBay and I am having a difficult time using them...

Today, I slept in late...Yay! Hubby was so very sweet and got up with the kiddies and he took them down to the end of the driveway and waited for the bus. I needed the extra sleep. I have been staying up waaaaay to late creating....but lovin every minute of it.

Today, I will clean and go to bed at a decent time. I know I have said that a million times. LOL I will be listing my ~Peaceful Blessings~ Dollie on eBay....Thursday evening and to end on Sunday. I hope you all have a great day....I need to clean up my work space, among other things. Smiles, ~Tonya

Having SEW much Fun!

Lately, I have been on a roll for sewing. I feel so Inspired and happy to be creating. I love creating, but sometimes things don't "flow" so freely and when it does, it is a doll makers dream! I am having sew much fun.

I just got finished with a Christmas Dollie and she is titled "Peaceful Blessings". She is so pretty. She has a neat dove in her arms that is removable. I may list her tomorrow night for 5 days or on Thursday evening for 3 days to end on Sunday. I am not sure yet.

Well, Hubby and my son are done with hunting. They both only filled one tag each. Hunting kicked both of their butts. They are so very tired from getting up so early, to be set up in the woods and so forth. I am glad that the regular season is over with.

Well, I must hit the hay! I have to get up to early in the morning and this late night stuff is catching up to me. I hope you all had a great day. As for me, I worked most of the day and cleaned LOL. It was windy out any ways. :) Toodles, ~Tonya

Not Forgotten...

Thank you, to those that serve our Country and to those that have served out Country. The Sacrifices that each of them have made, does not and has not go unnoticed. May God Bless each and every one of you!

My Son, "The BIG Hunter" got a deer yesterday! We took him for his gun training this year (I cringed at the thought of it). We bought him a gun, he had to "earn" it. He had to help Dad with the tear-off and replacement of our roof. He was very ambitious and did a good job. He worked hard! I feel that if you "hand" things to your children, they do not learn the value of a dollar....but if you have them "earn" things, they will take better care of said item and not "expect" everything to be handed to them.

Now don't get me wrong, I do not make my children earn every little thing, but something like a gun, I feel should be "respected". I was never "handed" everything when I was growing up and I feel that I am a better person for it. I want my children to understand that money does not grow on trees and that everything is not handed to them on a silver platter.

Back to the BIG hunter Jordan, he was so very PROUD! He called me on the cell, whispering....they were still hunting in the woods, but he was so happy and he just had to tell me. Of course, my "nature lover instincts" kicked in and I said, "Didn't you feel sad".......he said "A little bit". He is still hunting today and is taking 2 days off of school to finish up the season. I asked him, "Since you got a deer, are you going to school tomorrow?" He said, No, I still have tags to fill. Boy, how fast they learn! We bought him an All Season's pass. My little boy is growing up so fast...Enjoy your Veteran's Day. Peaceful Blessings to each of you....~Tonya

Woodland Santa...

Boy oh boy am I having so much FUN with my "Wee-Leggins Collection"! I started on this Woodland Santa right after my Snowfolk Sammy.....I just can not help myself! I love the size and I love the change from the normal dollie...

I will be listing him on eBay tonight. He will be listed for 7 days and end next Sunday. Me and my girls went to the movies yesterday....we seen "Fred Claus" and it was such a good movie! I love Christmas movies. We seen "Deck the Halls" last year and of course had to buy the DVD, that just came out on Tuesday.

It is so funny, the kids watched that already, along with "Christmas with the Kranks" and "The Polar Express".....my kids are sure getting ready for Christmas. My favorite Christmas movie is "Christmas Vacation" with Chevy Chase...so FUNNY! I watch that movie every year and sometimes in between. My daughter's already made a present for Santa....they made him a "night cap". They had to wrap it and all. So very thoughtful.

If you think about it, it is only 43 days until Christmas! Wow, Can you BELIEVE it! I have yet to finish up my goodies for my Stocking swap in my group and so many other things. I also want to make baked goodies for a bake sale for the Humane Society. I have done that for quite a few years, I missed last year. Well, I best be scooting along. I hope you all have a great Sunday evening. It is a beautiful day here, but windy. Many Blessings, ~Tonya

Snowfolk Sammy!

Meet ~Snowfolk Sammy~ I ADORE the way that he finished up and would LOVE to keep him! He is an addition to my "Wee-Leggin's Collection". He is a One of a Kind and well not be duplicated or made into a pattern...

He has so much character and he will list on eBay tonight and be on there for 5 days. I had to create, to chase away my blues. Well not blues, I call it being in a "FUNK". I have felt a bit "off" lately and had some horrendous headaches as well. Too much thinking, I think!

I have decided, something had to give, so I may not be selling anymore Needful Supplies. I know that you gals that have been so supportive in that area, may be upset. But for the most part, I do hope that you understand. Maybe I just need a break from all of the orders. It takes so much time to do all of that...along with my family, kids, house work, and my dollies.

Right now, I just really want to make dollies. That is what my heart it telling me and you must listen to your heart. I am out or very low on my inventory for supplies and I am not going to reorder at this time. Maybe in the future, but for now I am not. I am sorry.

On another note, hubby and my son are going to play with the deer again this weekend and that means just me and my girls. We are going to go to the movies this weekend and have some fun! I think it is long over due!

I have sooo many ideas floating around in my head for dollies. And hey, ya never know......maybe some of them may be turned into patterns. I have had several requests for new patterns. I hope you have a great Friday...kick-off to the weekend. Take some time for yourself....I know I am going too. Toodles, ~Tonya

Baxter's Christmas Magic...

Hidie-Ho to all of you! I am a BAD blogger lately. Seems time is just slip sliding away from me. I have been working on this for quite some time now. Meet Baxter! I love the way the whole piece turned out. He is a large dollie....Baxter is 31 inches tall. He is decked out for Christmas.
Baxter is a Back Porch Pickins Original and so is his stocking....but the Ol' Reindeer is a Homespun Heart Primitives Design. Love the Reindeer. I have had that pattern for about a year and have never used it....till now. The banner across the tree is part of that pattern as well.

The Reindeer lost the battle!! LOL This was the third time I tried for this one Reindeer! Good Grief! He gave me a run for my money! But ya know what, I WON!! Dolls and battles, I must sound like a crazy lady! LOL Baxter in "Christmas Magic" will be listed on ebay this evening and will end on Sunday.

I hope that you have all been well. Things have been busy around here with my kiddies. Ya know how it can be. Well, I am off to clean up my cyclone. LOL Have a Wonderful evening.
Many Blessings, ~Tonya

Taking time...

Where does the time go? Well, I have not been on the computer much lately. We had a good Hallow's Eve. I hope you did as well. I should add, the kiddies had a good Hallow's Eve, Dad worked and Mom (me) had a very terrible Migraine. It was terrible. I mulled through it and did the best I could.

So, then my Mother and I played! We took off yesterday and hit some Prim shoppes. I had a very nice day. I do not get out often enough and I feel, I should. My hubby tells me all the time to go......but for some reason, I am always so hard on myself and say, I have to get this done, I have to do that....I dropped everything and went.

It was good for me to get out. I bought a few things for myself. I found some Awesome wide, Primitive coloured Rick-Rack! Love it and can not wait to use it on some dollies. I have so many things I want to make.......just never do have enough time ya know. I have been working on a Rabbit for over a week, here and there that is. *smirk* He is layin there nakkid and faceless. Oh well. I will get to him, he can't complain........because he has no mouth. LOL

I hope you all have a great weekend. My hubby and son are out being "The GREAT Deer hunters". I hope they hunt safe. I hope they bag a deer and I hope that have a great time. As for me and my girls, I think we are going to the movies tomorrow. Ya all take care now. Many Blessings to you and yours, ~Tonya
