Spring-Thyme...

Good Day to all of you! It is a Beautiful day here today. We could not ask for a nicer day here in Minnesota. This weekend is suppose to be just as nice, with temps. dipping into the 80's.

I am not very good at this Blogging thingy.....I tend to not post as often as I should. See my Little Kween Bea? She is on eBay right now and I am so happy with the way she turned out. I am having fun working on another Spring Thyme doll right now. So much fun. I would love to learn how to make the sculpted heads from clay and such. Someday? I have all of the materials, just not the time.

Hubby starts a new job on Monday, so this will be quite a change for the whole family. He is closer to home now and going to be working as a Corrections Officer/Jailer. It is long hours, 12 hours shifts....but he is on 2 days, off 2 days and then 3 on, 3 off.....so he will be home with the family more. That is a good thing. I just hope he likes it there as much as he liked working for the state. He wanted to be closer to home and not drive so many hours. He was driving 1.5 hours just one way. So, this is a blessing...

I have been so busy lately and I don't seem to get a lot of things done. Like a dog chasing his tail! *Smirk* I released my new "Bring in the Clowns" pattern last week. It is going well. Always so much to do and so little time to do it. Well, I leave you with a quote...

Cherish your visions; cherish your ideals; cherish the music that stirs in your heart, the beauty that forms in your mind, the loveliness that drapes your purest thoughts, for out of them will grow delightful conditions, all heavenly environment; of these if you but remain true to them, your world will at last be built. ~James Allen

Great Sadness...

The world is in shock and mourning. So many unanswered questions. My heart goes out to all of the families that have been "touched" by the tragedy at Virgina Tech. Such a great loss of Innocence from such a selfish act. May each passing day, give these families the strength that they may need to go on.

No More Sharing...

Well Good day to all of you! It was a beautiful day, here in Minnesota. I am feeling a bit under the weather, but hubby had a grand plan to go...SHOPPING! I didn't feel like going and neither did the kids. Well, off we went to go shopping and I came home with one of the last things I thought I would ever come home with...

My own computer! *Smiles* No More Sharing! Yee Haw! I always had the kids begging me or the hubby saying, are you done yet? So, this will be so nice! Now my house looks like a tornado ran threw it....rearranging and all. I just now have to get my files and everything else transferred, that should be "Oh so much fun". I think it will involve too much time. Time I don't have right now. It will be on the "back burner" for a while.

My Little Sydney is doing so much better! She got quite a few "well wishes", that was so nice and thoughtful. Well tomorrow is going to be another nice day....in the 60's. Yes, for this time of the year here, that is just PERFECT! So, I hope you all have a Wonderful Monday Morning!

A thought about sharing, it happens to be a quote from Eric Hoffer, once again.

"Kindness can become its own motive. We are made kind by being kind".

Well, I am off to think about what I am going to do with the destruction that the tornado left behind....the one that the computer made *smirk* Many Blessings & Smiles ~Tonya

My Little Sweetpea...

My Little Sweetpea, Sydney! We got to go to the ER last night! We didn't get home until past 2 A.M. Oh what fun. She is a "tough cookie"! She hardly ever complains when she is sick. She is a trooper and just keeps on going. Well last night she complained of an earache, I knew it had to be serious. So, off we went to the ER, she was crying and crying. We were finally seen and sure enough, her eardrum was almost ruptured. They fixed her all up and she didn't even miss a beat! So, Friday the 13th...are you SUPERSTITIOUS? Me, not so much. I do believe that everything happens for a reason. I also believe that you create your own destiny. Something to make you really think, I leave you with a quote from Eric Hoffer...

"We are told that talent creates its own opportunities. But it sometimes seems that intense desire creates not only its own opportunities, but its own talents".

Spring to Wynter...

I woke up to coldness today. The electricity was out! "Old Man Wynter" has shown his ugly head again. It is almost the middle of April and the high-winds, sleet and snow are upon us. School was cancelled today. I have been working on an addition to my "Clown Collection", he is turning out just like my sketch.

I hope to release a new pattern soon. I have been working on it here and there.....It is my "Bring in the Clowns". I love these Clowns, it allows me to dig into my Imagination and parts of me, gets to become a kid again for a while. Too be a kid again....Wouldn't that be Grand! To look at life, through such innocent eye's. To be able to be silly and care-free.

I have always been told by so many, "You are only as old as you feel". And at least for a while, while creating some of my handmades, they allow me to feel like a kid again!

A New Day...

My very first post! A Blog...I had just asked not that long ago, "What is a Blog"? I had heard of it, but never had taken the time to see what it was. So, here I am now, with a Blog. I may share little tid-bits here and there, I may share *New* What-Nots that are happening around these parts and such. Listen to me, I should like such a "Country Bumpkin"! LOL Well, today is a New day, Spring is suppose to be in the air....last week it was any ways. A thought for the day,"Always be True to yourself! Know that you are, who your are...because of what it took to get there! Well with that being said
Many Blessings to you ~Tonya
